Bio

Simon Gadke is a filmmaker and writer who lives in Hamilton, ON. He works as a professional script analyst and as a screenwriter, adapting literary works for the screen. His short film, Monkey Paw, was an official selection of the 2022 LA Shorts International Film Festival. He was a resident of the 2019 Canadian Film Centre Writers’ Lab. His first published short story is forthcoming this fall in The Evergreen Review. He writes a navel-gazing Substack in which he ruthlessly critiques his internet search history and is part of a bi-weekly Instagram cooking show, Kaftans in the Kitchen, with his partner, The Social’s Jess Allen. He’d love to create a serialized detective.
